«Ore and Petroleum Geology»

The main goal of the program is to provide basic knowledge and practical skills in the field of prospection, exploration and evaluation of mineral deposits of different types – ore, industrial and fossil fuels including oil and gas – through application of complex geologic-geophysical methods, basic principles of management of geological enterprises and organizations, execution of exploration works.
The program combines both theorethical and practical aspects (disciplines) which include:
  • Structural geology and geomapping
  • Paleontology and stratigraphic researches
  • Basics of mineralogy, petrology and geochemistry
  • Basics of hydrogeology, engineering and ecological geology
  • Geophysical methods of researches
  • Economic geology, subsoil resource management and mining business
  • Geological prospection and exploration of mineral deposits
  • Technology of drilling, etc.
Educational and work practices in the feald of Earth Sciences will be carried out.
