THE DEPARTMENT OF GENERAL AND HISTORICAL GEOLOGY

Born 10/02/1970 in Ivano-Frankivsk.

In 1992 she graduated from the Geography Department of Kiev National Taras Shevchenko University, in 1997 – Postgraduate Studies in the Department of General and Historical Geology, in 2010 – the Geological Doctoral Faculty.

Since 1997 he has been working at Kyiv National Taras Shevchenko University: a Junior Fellow at the laboratory of physical-chemical studies of rocks SRD Geological Faculty, Assistant (from 1998), Associate Professor (since 2003) Department of General Geology and Historical Geology Department, (since 2011) Head of the Department of General and Historical Geology.

Scientific research: geomorphologic research bottom of the seas and oceans, the use of GIS technology in geology, modeling of dangerous geological processes.

Awarded the Medal of Augustine Birao in Pshybramsk Mining Academy (Czech, 1997). Winner of National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine for young scientists (2005), Diploma of the Ministry of Education and Science (2008).

For scientific and educational achievements Olena Ivanik awarded the medal “For Valiant Service” second degree.
