THE DEPARTMENT OF GENERAL AND HISTORICAL GEOLOGY

Born 10/06/1944 in the village Soroka Illinetsky district Vinnytsia region.

He graduated from the Geological Faculty of Lviv State Ivan Franko University in 1970.

Since 1970, he worked as an Engineer, Senior Engineer and Senior Researcher DP, Associate Professor and Professor of General Geology of Lviv State Ivan Franko University, fulfilling the state budget and contractual work on the geology and metallogens of different areas of Eastern Transbaikalia.

In 1975 he defended his thesis for Master’s Degree, in 1994 – his doctoral thesis on problems of tectonics, magmatism and structure in areas Ph. D. of tectonic-magmatic activation. In Kiev University from 2001 – Professor, from 2003 to 2011 – Head of the Department of General Geology and Historical Geology Department.

Field of research:

• Problems granite formation;
• Structural analysis of crystalline complexes;
• Mathematical modeling of geological processes and structures.

Winner of Taras Shevchenko Award of Kyiv University in 2006.

Author of over 160 scientific works.
